Day 1 Arrival in Constance
Particularly worthy of visiting are the Island of Mainau, the historic town centre and the Sea Life Centre.

Day 2 Constance - Stein am Rhein - Höri peninsula, approx. 35 km/22 mi
Cycle route along the romantic Lower Lake, Hermann-Hesse Museum, medieval Stein.

Day 3 Höri peninsula - Uhldingen, approx. 48 km/30 mi
Tour of Überlingen Lake, the historic part of Radolfzell and the pilgrimage church of Birnau are the highlights today.

Day 4 Uhldingen - Wasserburg, approx. 46 km/29 mi
Vineyards and orchards line your route. Lake Dwelling Museum of Uhldingen and the Old Castle in Meersburg are worthy of a visit.

Day 5 Wasserburg - Bad Horn, approx. 49 km/30 mi
Discover the island town of Lindau and the lake stage in Bregenz.

Day 6 Bad Horn - Constance, approx. 35 km/22 mi
Tour through so-called Swiss Cider India, passing numerous lakeside cafes and the Saurer lorry museum.

Day 7 Departure or extended stay

  • Parking facilities in Constance:
    Most hotels offer unguarded parking, prices range between 40 and 80 €/week, pre-booking is not possible. Alternatively, there are free parking facilities in residential areas - Constance is very safe.
  • Arriving by train:
    The hotels located in the historical centre are only a few walking minutes from Constance’s main railway station. For the hotels in the district of Lizelstetten, there is a direct bus (number 4) that departs right in front of the station. For the hotels in the Petershausen area we recommend taking a taxi, which usually costs around 9 €.
  • Arriving by plane at Zurich airport:
    Distance to Constance approx. 70 km / 43 miles, there is a good train connection.
    Price for a single ticket to Constance: approx. 30 SFR/ 25 €.
    Price for a German taxi to Constance: approx. 150 € per car.
  • Booked rental bikes can be picked up at the bike station in the city centre.
